1. All cart operators MUST have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
2. Familiarize yourself with and observe all traffic rules:
   1. use hand signals when turning or stopping
   2. Golf carts may be driven only on the Sandestin common roadways and not operated on any sidewalk or path that is not specifically designated for such with the exception of the Highway 98 tunnel access.
   3. golf carts cannot be parked in fire lane
3. ALWAYS USE THE TUNNEL IF YOU ARE GOING TO THE BEACH SIDE OF SANDESTIN.  IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE IT IS, PLEASE ASK THE GUARDS AT THE GATE. IT IS LOCATED IMMEDIATELY PAST THE GUARD GATE TO THE LEFT.
4. Maximum of five (5) persons, regardless of age, on golf cart at any one time. Number of passengers per cart must not exceed the passenger limit and load capacity designated by the vehicle's manufacturer.All persons are required to be seated in an installed seat specifically designed for such during the operation of the golf cart and are not permitted to stand up or be seated upon the body or frame work.
5. Operation of the golf cart while under the influence of intoxicants is prohibited and may be subject to prosecution pursuant to Chapter 316.193 of the Florida Statutes.
6. Infants and small children must be held securely AT ALL TIMES by another golf cart passenger age 16 or older. The golf cart driver may not hold a child or infant while operating the golf cart.
7. Golf carts should always be parked in designated parking spaces and golf cart approved spaces when available. In addition to this policy, individual neighborhood associations may have their own golf cart rules. Owners must check with their respective neighborhood association for information regarding golf cart rules such as facilities for parking and charging.
8. PLEASE park the golf cart in a safe place at night do not leave out uncovered.
9. Golf carts operated from dusk until dawn must have headlights on.
10. This is an electric golf cart, which requires periodic charging. The charger is either on the golf cart or under cover—do not remove from the premises. Be sure the cart has a good charge before leaving for an extended ride. ALWAYS unplug the charger before moving the golf cart. ALWAYS recharge when not in use, you cannot overcharge the golf cart batteries. When you sense that the cart is losing power (i.e. sluggish, slowing down), it needs charging. An overnight charge should last a couple of days of normal use. Never leave the power charger in a wet or moist area and keep it away from rain.
11. Please rinse or wipe off the cart when needed.
12. Be SURE to turn the headlight(s) OFF when not in use.
13. Note that the cart has forward, reverse and neutral gears. When in reverse, you should hear a backing horn (buzzing sound). 
14. Please take the key out of the cart when not in use and keep it in a safe place.  Return the key to the coded key box before you are ready to check out.
15. There will be a $10.00 charge for any key that is not returned to Owner or returned to the key box.

PENALITIES AND FINES SCHEDLUE:

1. Any accident resulting from the violation of the above rules will result in the review and possible revocation of the renter's golf cart privileges.
2. In the event that SECURITY encounters a violation of the Rules set forth in Paragraphs 1 through 4, Security may address the violation and at its discretion issue a traffic citation. Subsequent offenses will be subject to the revocation of golf cart privileges.

    Fines are as follows and may be imposed up to $100 for each separate rule violation:

1. Driving a golf cart on unapproved paths, sidewalks, landscape or restricted areas - $50.00
2. Transporting baggage, coolers, or other objects on roof or other portion of the golf cart without a designated rack designed for that purpose; towing a utility cart or wagon without approved hitch - $50.00
3. Exceeding the maximum capacity of the golf cart, standing or riding on the golf cart framework, or overloading golf cart while in operation - $100.00
4. Underage children operating a golf cart - $100.00
5. Transporting infants or small children improperly (i.e. the driver is holding the child or a minor is holding the child, or the child is unsecured in a seat). - $100.00
6. Violating traffic rules on Sandestin roads - Fines based on Traffic Rule fine schedules.
7. Towing or dragging a wagon, cart, bicycle or skateboard whether occupied or unoccupied is prohibited - $100.00
8. Racing or other activities that could pose a hazard to the driver, occupants, others, or property - $100.00

GENERAL TERMS OF RENTAL
In consideration of the use of this golf cart, I agree to:

• abide by the above RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS.
• leave the cart in as good a condition as I received it
• reimburse the owner for or pay for any damages or fines sustained to the cart during this rental period.
• defend, indemnify and hold the owner & his/her agent(s) harmless from and against all claims, suits and liabilities,without limiting the generality of the foregoing, for any and all damages to property or person, including, but not limited to injury, death, or damage to any property whatsoever, caused by, arising from, incident to, connected with, growing out of, or related to the use and/or operation of this golf cart during this rental period
